A Kentucky woman's stunning mugshot went viral after she was arrested for totaling her boyfriend's car.
Stephanie Carlquist, 31, was booked on felony criminal mischief charges at the Madison County Detention Center after admitting to cracking the windshield and putting glitter in the vents of her ex-boyfriend's car, WLKY reports. Carlquist, who is pregnant, reportedly committed the crime after getting into a fight with the victim in early July.
The 31-year-old allegedly poured salt into the vehicle's fuel, put glitter in the AC vent, slashed a tire, cracked a windshield and rearview mirror and shattered the radio screen, according to police. The victim said the tire slashing happened during a previously argument on July 6, however, the rest of the damage took place on July 15.
The car was declared totaled due to the extensive damage, which was estimated to value $12,464.96. Carlquist reportedly admitted what she did to a tow truck driver who took the vehicle away and called her ex-boyfriend's mother to notify her about the incident, according to police.
Carlquist allegedly apologized to her ex-boyfriend in an Instagram message claiming she was stressed out due to her pregnancy. The suspect claimed the damage beyond the cracked windshield and glitter in vents was due to the car being "overdue" for an oil change and other maintenance while interviewed by police.
Carlquist's mugshot was shared by the @Mugshawtys account, which is dedicated to sharing posts of attractive female mugshots, and several users joked that she was "innocent."
"Your Honor, Look at her Smile, she’s perfect," one Instagram user commented.
"Yknow what? She runs a tight ship. I like her," another user wrote.
Carlquist was held at the Madison County Detention Center on a $12,000 bond.
